Its beyond obvious that this entire draft really turns on one player and one pick: Robert Griffin III and St Louis’ #2 overall pick. They want to rebuild and already have a franchise QB, a lot of teams who are QB needy covet it and should(and will) be bidding on it. This mock is really three different mocks, each with a speculative trade by three teams that should/could be interested in Griffin 3: Cleveland, Washington and the New York Jets. There are of course other teams interested in the pick and I think that you should take the last two of the three teams as a stand-in for other teams supposedly interested. “Washington” could easily be Jacksonville, Miami, Kansas City or Seattle. The “Jets” could be Philly, Chicago or other random teams picking later in the draft.

    1st Mock: Cleveland nudges up…

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck Qb Stanford. Just go ahead and let him sign the contract.
2. Cleveland Browns(projected trade with St Louis, they get #4, #22, Cleveland’s 2nd round pick, Eric Steinbach and Cleveland’s 2013 2nd): Robert Griffin III Qb Baylor. Anyone want Colt McCoy…anyone?
3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kahil OT Southern Cal. Charlie Johnson is their LT.
4. St Louis Rams(from Cleveland): Jonathan Martin OT Stanford. WR can wait, and there’s a school of thought that Blackmon is going to drop.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne CB LSU. Talib and Barber can split a moving van to get their crap out of the bucs’ facility.
6. Washington Redskins: Justin Blackmon WR Okla State. The most logical pick here if they can’t deal down.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina. No one’s happier then Blaine Gabbert.
8. Carolina Panthers: Michael Brockers DT LSU. Johnson had a good season even after getting paid, they need to help him
9. Miami Dolphins: Mike Adams OT OSU. I think Flynn is taking his talents to South Beach.
10. Buffalo Bills: Quentin Coples DE UNC. And they pray he’s not the next Derrick Harvey.
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Trent Richardson RB Alabama. A BPA pick, but Jones is slowing down and Charles had a major knee injury.
12. Seattle Seahawks: Brandon Weeden QB Okla State. Not a good pick, but if they miss out on Rg3, Flynn or Manning, makes some sense.
13. Arizona Cardinals: Riley Reiff OT Iowa. Oline is still a major issue for them.
14. Dallas Cowboys: Dre KirkPatrick CB Alabama. A match made in heaven.
15. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Kuechly LB Boston College. Reid finally tries to solve their long term LB ulcer.
16. New York Jets: Mark Barron SS Alabama. Another team finally tries to fix a long term ulcer.
17. Cincinnati Bengals(from Oakland): LaMichael James RB Oregon. He’s going to smoke the combine and the Bengals can’t say no to a physical prospect like him.
18. San Diego Chargers: Courtney Upshaw LB/Defensive attacker Alabama. Didn’t have a great senior bowl, but showed a lot during the practices.
19. Chicago Bears: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame. OT is a bigger need, but they want to make a splash. Don’t be shocked if they jump up into the top 5 for Martin or Kahil.
20. Tennessee Titans: Melvin Ingram DL South Carolina. Status quo ante
21. Cincinnati Bengals: David DeCastro OL Stanford. They’ll find a place for him o the line.
22. St Louis Rams(from Cleveland Browns via Atlanta): Stephen Hill WR Georgia Tech. Bradford must be loving this draft so far.
23. Detroit Lions: Cordy Glenn OL UGA. They probably try him out at LT.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Don’ta Hightower LB Alabama. They should go best OLman left, but they can’t pass on him here
25. Denver Broncos: Vontaze Burfict LB Arizona State. Maybe the healing power of the Tebow can sort him out.
26. Houston Texans: Whitney Mercilus DE/LB Illinois. No guarantee that Mario Williams comes back.
27. New England Patriots(from NOLA): Zach Brown LB UNC. A steal this late.
28. Green Bay Packers: Peter Konz OL Wisconsin. People forget that Scott Wells is a UFA.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Nate Potter OT Boise State. McKinnie simply isn’t the answer at LT.
30. San Fran 49ers: Ruben Randle WR LSU. Crabtree is available via trade..book it.
31. New York Giants: Devon Still DL Penn State. When it doubt: take a lineman.
32. New England Patriots: Joe Adams WR Arkansas. His senior bowl(and his toughness) will open eyes.

    2nd Mock: Dannike Snyderhan strikes!

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck QB Stanford. Status quo.
2. Washington Redskins(projected trade with St Louis, they get pick 6, Redskins’ 2nd rounder, Redskins 1st and 3rd round picks in 2013 and redskins’ 2nd in 2014): Robert Griffin III Qb Baylor. Mobile, strong armed, hopefully he’ll get a matching tattoo with Kyle Shanahan.
3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kahil OT Southern Cal. Status quo.
4. Cleveland Browns: Justin Blackmon WR Okla State. Greg Little showed flashes, but they need a playmaker for any QB that they bring in. I’m still assuming that Flynn goes to Miami in this one.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne CB LSU. Status quo
6. St Louis(from Washington): Jonathan Martin OT Stanford. Status quo.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina. Status quo
8. Carolina Panthers: Michael Brockers DT LSU. Status quo
9. Miami Dolphins: Mike Adams OT OSU. Status quo
10. Buffalo Bills: Quentin Coples DE UNC. Status quo.
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Trent Richardson RB Alabama. Status quo.
12. Seattle Seahawks: David DeCastro OL Stanford. If Peyton Manning’s not going to DC, Seattle is the next most logical spot for him. This pick changes to an OG and Weeden drops
13. Arizona Cardinals: Riley Reiff OT Iowa. Status quo
14. Dallas Cowboys: Cordy Glenn OL UGA. Since Decastro isn’t dropping, Dallas decides to take Glenn now over taking Kirkpatrick and hoping that a quality interior Olineman is available in the 2nd.
15. Philadelphia Eagles: Melvin Ingram DL South Carolina. He can play inside or out, fits in with their obsession to have dozens of rushers on the dline.
16. New York Jets: Brandon Weeden QB Okla State. And the Jets fans cheer.
17. Cincinnati Bengals(from Oakland): Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama. A pure BPA pick, they need an upgrade.
18. San Diego Chargers: Luke Kuechly LB BC. I don’t think much of him, but he could be a solid starter.
19. Chicago Bears: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame. Status quo.
20. Tennessee Titans: Courtney Upshaw DL/LB Alabama. And they play him as an undersized DE.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Mark Barron SS Alabama. Another BPA pick.
22. Cleveland Browns(from Atlanta): Ryan Tannehill QB TAMU. He should rise back up when healthy.
23. Detroit Lions: Nate Potter OT BSU. A real LT prospect.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Don’ta Hightower LB Alabama. Status quo.
25. Denver Broncos: LaMichael James RB Oregon. Perfect for that zone read they want to effectively run. McGahee slowed down, Moreno can go bye bye.
26. Houston Texans: Ruben Randle WR LSU. This season showed that they need talent alongside Johnson.
27. New England Patriots(from NOLA): Stephen Hill WR Ga Tech. Selfless, big, fast, smart.
28. Green Bay Packers: Peter Konz OL Wisconsin. Status quo.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Vontaze Burfict LB ASU. You think he’s going to mouth off/act up to Ray ray? Him or Brown here if Jarret Johnson follows Pagano to Indy.
30. San Fran 49ers: Joe Adams WR Arkansas. They really wanted Hill here.
31. New York Giants: Zach Brown LB UNC. They can’t get this card in fast enough.
32. New England Patriots: Vinny Curry Defensive attacker Marshall. One dimensional, but they could use it on 3rd downs.

3rd Mock: Ryan goes all in…

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck QB Stanford. Status quo
2. New York Jets(projected trade with St Louis, they get pick 16, Jets’ 2nd rounder, Jets 1st and 3rds in 2013, 2nd in 2014 and OT Vladimir Ducasse): Robert Griffin III Baylor. The out of left field deal, but it makes some sense. They can flip Sanchez to a team like Seattle for a 3rd(or conditional 2nd) and RG3 probably buys Ryan another 2 years. St Louis gets an OT to replace Smith and they can still get some more pieces with all those picks. If Holmes’contract can be dealt, he goes also in any potential deal.
3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kahil OT Southern Cal. Status quo
4. Cleveland Browns: Justin Blackmon WR Okla State. Status quo.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Clairborne CB LSU. Status quo.
6. Washington Redskins: Jonathan Martin OT Stanford. And Trent Williams can be had for a late 1st/2nd+something else, maybe St Louis gives them their nature 2nd and one of the jets’ future picks for him?
7.Jacksonville Jaguars: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina. Status quo.
8. Carolina Panthers: Michael Brockers DT LSU. Status quo
9. Miami Dolphins: Mike Adams OT OSU. Status quo
10. Buffalo Bills: Quentin Coples DE UNC. Status quo
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Trent Richardson RB Alabama. Status quo
12. Seattle Seahawks: Brandon Weeden QB Okla State. Peyton goes to DC in this scenario, Jason Campbell to Cleveland and Flynn to Miami.
13. Arizona Cardinals: Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama. They need a rusher badly.
14. Dallas Cowboys: David DeCastro OL Stanford. They look hard at Dennard in round 2.
15. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Kuechly LB BC. Back to trying to fix the LB spot.
16. St Louis(from New York Jets): Riley Reiff OT Iowa. Ducasse+Reiff > Saffold/Brown.
17. Cincinnati Bengals(from Oakland): Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama. Status quo.
18. San Diego Chargers: Cordy Glenn OL UGA. Gaither was a steal, if Hardwick is leaving they need reinforcement.
19. Chicago Bears:
Stephen Hill WR Ga Tech. Him or Floyd here in this scenario.
20. Tennessee Titans: Melvin Ingram DL South Carolina. Barring a bad combine/pro day, its hard to see Ingram lasting past this pick currently.
21. Cincinnati Bengals: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame. BPA, but Simpson might be doing 5-10 in the federal pen.
22. Cleveland Browns(from Atlanta): Zach Brown OLB UNC. Solid prospect who won’t embarrass himself.
23. Detroit Lions: Mark Barron SS Alabama. They should take Potter again, Schwartz can’t pass on a back 7 ace.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Nate Potter OT Boise State. Oline should be the priority for the Steelers.
25. Denver Broncos: LaMichael James RB Oregon. Status quo.
26. Houston Texans: Ruben Randle WR LSU. Status quo.
27. New England Patriots(from NOLA): Joe Adams WR Arkansas. Outside, tough, yadda yadda yadda.
28. Green Bay Packers: Whitney Mercilus DE/LB Illinois. Matthews needs someone to draw away doubles.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Devon Still DL PSU. He spells Suggs at times, he helps with that Pees hybrid attack by going down at 5 tech.
30. San Fran 49ers: Kendall Wright WR Baylor. Noticing a theme?
31. New York Giants: Dwayne Allen TE Clemson. The replacements for boss have been solid. TE might not be the biggest need, but Allen can’t do anything but help here.
32. New England Patriots: Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama. No one can question his talent.
