Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur fully committed to Colt McCoy at quarterback | cleveland.com.

I’m not a huge fan of McCoy and I think that he’s been overrated based off of a couple nice games(and he struggled in the rest of them), but this an interesting move. It puts the onus on the Browns to do 2 things in the offseason:

1-Find an offensive weapon. Whether thats Julio Jones in the draft or someone like Vincent Jackson or Santana Moss in a trade/FA, they need a WR who can credibility put up stats. McCoy just isn’t good enough on his own to make the talent around him better.

2-Rebuild the defensive front 7. If I’m the Browns, I offer a 3rd and a conditional pick to the Redskins for Haynesworth and Andre Carter(both of whom are surplus to need in DC). Doing that+getting a Vet WR means that they could use their first on a LB like Martez Wilson.
